Frequently Asked

The online notarization process is simple and convenient. First, the client selects the type of document and fills out the necessary form. We then send a draft of the document for the client's approval. Once all details are approved, the client signs the document in the presence of an online notary via a secure video call. After the signing, we perform any necessary legalization, apostille, or translation procedures, if required. Finally, we send the complete package of documents to the recipient anywhere in the world*, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

*Please note that we do not provide services to clients whose documents are destined for countries under international sanctions, in particular the terrorist country russia and the terrorist supporting country belarus.

Yes, all documents prepared by our company are legal and recognized by all countries that are party to the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961 (Apostille Convention). For countries that are not party to the convention, we provide consular legalization, which may take longer.

Documents prepared for the United States do not require additional legalization or apostille procedures and are recognized by all states.

At Wisenotary, we can prepare and notarize a wide range of documents that require notarization, with a few exceptions:

1. Vital records: Birth certificates, death certificates and marriage certificates are usually issued by government agencies and cannot be notarized by a notary public.
2. Incomplete documents: A notary cannot notarize a document that is incomplete or contains blanks.
3. Documents with ambiguous or misleading content: Notaries should not notarize documents that contain ambiguous, false, or misleading information.
4. Documents in a language the notary does not understand: A notary should only notarize documents written in a language that the notary can read and understand.
5. Documents where the signer is not present: The signer must be physically present before the notary at the time of notarization, whether in person or online.
6. Documents where the signer cannot provide valid identification: A notary cannot notarize a document if the signer cannot provide acceptable identification or cannot be identified by credible witnesses.
7. Documents where the signer is mentally incapacitated or under duress: The signer must be willing and able to understand the nature and consequences of the document being signed.

Aside from these exceptions, Wisenotary can assist with the notarization of a variety of documents, including affidavits, powers of attorney, contracts, deeds, and more. Our team is well-equipped to handle documents in multiple languages, ensuring a seamless notarization experience for our diverse clientele.

To have a document notarized through our platform, follow these steps

1. Follow the "New Order" link: provide all required contact information and confirm your email address.
2. Select the document type: Select the type of document you need notarized, whether it's an existing document you want to upload or a new document you want us to create for you.
3. Provide document details: If you're requesting a new document, fill out the necessary information in the online form to help us create a draft tailored to your needs. If you're uploading an existing document, make sure it's complete and ready for notarization.
4. Review and approve the draft (if applicable): If you've requested a new document, we'll send you a draft for review and approval. Make sure all the details are correct and notify us of any necessary changes before we proceed with notarization.
5. Schedule an online notarization: When your document is ready, schedule an appointment with one of our online notaries. Make sure you have a stable Internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone for the video call.
6. Prepare identification: Before the notarization session, gather your government-issued identification and any additional documents required for verification.
7. Attend the online notarization session: At the scheduled time, join the video call with our notary. The notary will verify your identity, witness your signing of the document, and notarize it electronically.
8. Receive your notarized document: After the notarization process is complete, we'll send you the notarized document via email or other secure method. If required, we can also provide apostille/certification and sworn translation services before sending the final document package to you or the recipient.
9. Make a payment: Complete the payment process using one of our accepted methods. Our fees are transparent and you'll know the cost up front.

By following these steps, you'll have a smooth and efficient experience getting your document notarized through our platform.

Yes, you can use our services for international documents and apostille/authentication services. At Wisenotary, we specialize in handling documents that require notarization and additional procedures for use abroad. Here's how we can help you:

1. International Documents: Our team of professional notaries and certified translators can work with various types of documents from different countries. We ensure that the notarization process meets the specific requirements of the country where the document will be used.

2. Apostille Services: If the country where your document will be used is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, we can assist you in obtaining an Apostille, which is an international certification that simplifies the process of document legalization. The apostille certifies the authenticity of the notary's signature and seal, making the document acceptable for use in member countries without additional consular legalization.

3. Consular Legalization: For countries that are not members of the Hague Apostille Convention, we can assist you with consular legalization, which involves obtaining certification from the embassy or consulate of the country where the document will be used. This process can take longer than apostille services, but we'll guide you through each step to ensure your documents are properly legalized.

4. Sworn Translations: If your document is in a language other than the official language of the country where it will be used, we can provide certified translations by our team of sworn translators. This ensures that your document is accurately translated and accepted by foreign authorities.

By offering these comprehensive services, we aim to make the process of notarizing and legalizing your international documents as seamless and hassle-free as possible. With Wisenotary, you can rest assured that your documents will be handled professionally and securely, and will meet all necessary requirements for use in the destination country.
